Councelor Exchange

Part of the mission of Recovery Beyond Borders is to provide training and assistance to addiction counselors in developing countries. Through the Counselor Exchange Program, established addiction treatment programs are able to provide an opportunity for new counselors to travel to their setting for immersion training.

New addiction counselors work alongside experienced, credentialed addiction counselors to observe and participate in various levels of chemical dependency treatment. Visiting counselors then return to their own programs with newly developed skills and abilities. Both the visiting counselor and the host site benefit from this newly developed relationship.

RBB generally provides visiting counselors with scholarships for the costs of travel and lodging at host facilities.
