Recovery Without Borders is led by a Board of Directors dedicated to guiding our organization in its efforts to foster recovery across the globe.

Jake Epperly, CSADC

• Founder and Executive Director of Recovery Without Borders / Recovery Beyond Borders
• Chairman of New Hope Holdings LLC which owns and operates alcoholism and addiction treatment centers in Illinois as well as Midwest Rapid Opiate Detoxification Specialists in Chicago Illinois and Texas Opiate Detoxification Specialists.
• Has worked in the alcoholism and addiction treatment field for past 27 years
• Resides in Geneva, Illinois

Abbey Haroldson

• Graduate of DePaul University with degree in accounting
• Financial Comptroller, New Hope Recovery Center
• Volunteer for Key Club Kiwanis
• Resides in Chicago, Illinois

Trig Haroldson

• President Esoteric Construction
• Active volunteer for Recovery Without Borders completing three trips to Nepal
• Active member of Habit for Humanity
• Resides in Geneva, Illinois

William McLellan

• Past Vice President and General Manager of both the Orthopedic Products division and Health Care Specialties Divisions at 3M.
• Managed 3M's Austin, Texas Headquarters prior to retirement.
• Following retirement from 3M, Bill became Executive Director of Lifeworks Agency, merging four social service agencies serving youth and families.
• Bill was co-founder, and served as Vice Chairman, of Treaty Oak Bank in Austin, Texas.
• Bill has served as an active board member in many Austin area organizations, including The Austin Chamber of Commerce, St. Edwards University, Seton Hospital, St. David's Hospital, The Urban League, Austin Recovery Center, Mobile Loaves and Fishes, Capital Idea, and Safeplace
• Resides in Austin, Texas

Thorarinn Tyfingson MD

• Chairman of the Board of SAA
• Medical Director of SAA Treatment Services, Reykjavik, Iceland
• Member of American Society of Addiction Medicine since 1990
• Founding Member of International Society of Addiction Medicine and committee member since 2002
• Received the Knight’s Cross from President of Iceland in 1997 for his work with alcohol and drug abuse treatment
• Resides in Reykjavik, Iceland

Patrick R. Daley MBA

• Patrick received an MBA with Honors from the University of Chicago in International Strategy and Finance and is also a CFA Charter Holder.
• He has worked across multiple sectors, including telecommunications, consumer products, logistics and financial services throughout the US.
• Mr. Daley works with family offices and investment funds with assets in excess of $3 billion.
• Mr. Daley worked in the Investment Banking group of Bear Stearns in New York specializing in Real Estate, Gaming and Lodging financings.
• A veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan, Mr. Daley is proficient in Russian.
• Patrick is a active board member of New Hope Recovery Center in Chicago which under his financial guidance assisted in scholarships of over $300,000.00 in free treatment to those in need.
• Patrick Daley is a private equity investment manager currently residing in Moscow

Phil Collins

• 15 years on the Board of Delnor Community Hospital
• Past member of the Board of Directors of Harris Bank
• His family and family foundation has supported marine research, assisted in founding the Naples Conservancy, and was instrumental in creating both Delnor Wiggins State Park and Lowdermilk Park in Naples Florida.
• Phil currently is involved in the sale of high end real estate in Naples Florida
• Youth Haven non-profit organization, after serving on the Board for 8 years.
• Resides in Naples, Florida

Tenzing Donzong

• Owner of Tibetan Gifts and Antiques
